Summer 2024 at the Riverside Venue
We have a fantastic line-up of events happening this summer at the Riverside Venue. Dinosaurs, a world-leading mind reader and a professional Elvis impersonator are among a bumper line-up of performances being held at our Stratford-upon-Avon venue.
Fun Fair
The Riverside Venue, part of Avon Estates and situated on the Tiddington Road, has unveiled its exciting programme of events over the coming weeks, starting with the Kidz Kingdom Funfair & Live Dinosaur Show between July 20th and 28th (12-6pm), where families can experience funfair rides and get up close to exotic animals Jurassic Park style.
James Richard's Circus
James Richards Circus rolls into town with the Big Top Tent between August 13th and 18th, wowing families with acrobatics and magic tricks. Bringing plenty of smiles, laughter, thrills and adrenaline, it’s the perfect production for all to enjoy.

Mind Reader and Elvis Tribute Night
A mind reader who has his own sell-out show in London’s West End – Matt Daniel-Baker – is hosting a special one-off performance on August 16th, where he will be performing mind-blowing illusions and searching inside the minds of audience members.
Elvis will be taking residency of the Big Top for the night of August 17th as professional tribute act Paul Thorpe – who has performed over 13,000 shows – singing a catalogue of hits from the American music icon.
Cruftside Dog Show
Nic Allen, Director at Avon Estates said: “We’re delighted to be able to provide this fantastic line-up of varied events throughout the summer for our customers, locals and tourists to enjoy.
“The funfair and circus have proven to be very popular in previous years, so we are thrilled to have them back during the school holidays, and there is something for adults too with our illusionist Matt Daniel-Baker and the Elvis tribute act.
“We also host a variety of live music, quiz nights and we will be showing children’s films throughout the summer on our Big Outdoor Screen too, so there really is something for everyone!”
The Riverside Venue
The Riverside Venue is part of Avon Estates and sits on the banks of the River Avon, which includes the Muddy Oar Bar, The Galley Kitchen Restaurant, home to the lava stone dining experience, as well as The Upper Deck, with stunning riverside rooms available for private hire, including wedding receptions, special occasions and business conferences.
Darren Tosh, Operations and Marketing Director at South Warwickshire tourism board, Shakespeare’s England, said the venue was a great example for other tourism businesses seeking to make the most of their space.
He added: “The Riverside Venue is a great example of a local venue utilising its space in creative ways to provide great experiences for locals and those from further afield.
