What types of accommodation does Stratford Parks offer?

Stratford Parks offers a range of accommodation including lodges, caravans, cottages, glamping pods and touring pitches with 10 amp electric hook-ups.

To specifically book a riverfront lodge or touring pitch, please call the team on 01789 299492.

Stratford Parks offers caravan accommodation that is accessible for guests with a wheelchair. With ramp access, an extra wide doorway, low level work surfaces and sliding doors, our wheelchair accessible unit provides plenty of extra space. With a double bedroom, twin room plus a pull-out sofa bed in the lounge, it comfortably sleeps up to six people and includes a wet room with all the adaptions you would require. What facilities are available and is Stratford Parks family-friendly?

Yes Stratford Parks is family-friendly!

The park has a variety of excellent on-site facilities, including the Riverside Venue Bar and Restaurant offering a variety of food and drink, a children’s play area, a crazy golf* course, a River Taxi service* into Stratford-upon-Avon (weather dependent and small charges apply), free fishing* on the River Avon, as well as the opportunity to hire bikes or paddle boards.

You can fish in the River Avon (fishing season, 16th June to 16th March) but a rod license is required.

Events and entertainment are also held throughout the season for all the family to enjoy, including live music, James Richards Circus, the Funfair, the annual Cruftside Dog Show, tribute nights, firework spectaculars, the Big Outdoor Screen with movies and major sporting events and much more!

There is also a local Spar shop, just a 5-10 minute walk from the park, on the Tiddington Road, for any essentials.

Are pets allowed at Stratford Parks?

Dogs are welcome at Stratford Parks in accommodation which is allocated as pet-friendly, but this is up to a maximum of 2.

We have a dog-friendly bar on-site, as well as two dog walking fields, so your pooch can enjoy the holiday too!

We kindly ask that they are kept on a lead at all times when on park (excluding the designated walking areas).

How far is Stratford Parks from Stratford-upon-Avon town centre and what can I do there?

Stratford Parks is approximately a 5 minute drive, 20 minute River Taxi journey (offered on site for a small charge and weather dependent), or a 30-minute walk from the historic town centre of Stratford-upon-Avon, where you can explore many popular family attractions.

Visitors can explore Shakespeare’s Birthplace, Anne Hathaway’s Cottage and other historic homes associated with his life. The Royal Shakespeare Theatre offers world-class performances for theatre lovers. You can also take a scenic boat trip along the River Avon, visit the picturesque Holy Trinity Church where Shakespeare is buried, or wander the quaint streets filled with Tudor-style buildings, boutique shops and cosy cafes. There’s also Stratford Butterfly Farm, the Mad Museum and Warwick Castle not far away. It’s a perfect destination for history, literature and scenic charm.

When is Stratford Parks open and what are the check-in and check-out times?

Stratford Parks is open from 22nd March 2024 – 3rd November 2024, and in 2025, from 28th March to 2nd November 2025.

Check-in and key collection will be open from 4pm – 7pm for Hire bookings, including lodges, caravans, cottages and glamping pods. If you arrive after 7pm on your date of arrival, you will need to call 07825 219033 to pick up your keys.

If you have booked a touring pitch at Stratford Parks, check-in is from midday Monday to Saturday and 2pm on Sunday and Bank Holiday Mondays. Last pitching times for touring pitches are 8pm or dusk (whichever arrives soonest).

Is Wi-Fi available at the park?

Yes free WIFI is offered at the Riverside Venue and in the lodges and cottages. Charges do apply to other accommodation.

Touring Park FAQs

What facilities are available?

Broadmeadow Touring Park

Spacious and scenic, Broadmeadow proudly offers 85 pitches, some grass and some hardstanding, all with 16 amp electric hook-ups. Water taps are positioned around our touring caravan site complete with waste disposal points for black and grey waste. In addition, each pitch is large enough to accommodate your caravan or motorhome, awning and one car.

There’s also two equally-generous and fully-equipped toilet and shower blocks as well as wheelchair accessible facilities.

Guests staying with us can also enjoy the two beautiful lakes which form part of the grounds.

Ashbourne Touring Park

Ashbourne Touring Park boasts both grass and hard-standing pitches with 16 amp EHU available for your touring caravan, motorhome or campervan.

On site you’ll find a range of facilities, designed to make your stay as enjoyable and hassle-free as possible.

This includes a toilet and shower block, laundry room and dish-washing facilities.

Are pets allowed?

How far are the parks from the town centre and what can I do there?

Broadmeadow Touring Park

Ross-on-Wye is just a 7 minute walk away from the park and Morrisons is just a few minutes away.

Sporting facilities in the town include an indoor swimming pool and gym, putting green and tennis courts. A little further afield you can find golf courses, pony trekking, fishing, cycling, mountain biking, cinemas, horse racing, canoeing and river cruises.

Enjoy numerous walks direct from the park where you can explore the delightful, picturesque countryside and the River Wye, including part of the Wye valley walk.

All within easy driving distance, or local buses, are the Cathedral cities of Hereford and Gloucester and the Welsh town of Monmouth. It’s also just a 30 minute drive to reach the Forest of Dean and the popular destination of Symonds Yat just 15 mins away.

Ashbourne Touring Park

Ashbourne town is just a 10 minute drive away from the park with picturesque winding cobbled streets and historic Tudor and Georgian heritage, offering independent shops, bespoke jewellers, antique stores, gift shops, a butchers, bakers, green grocers, as well as cafes, boutique bars and pubs.

Just 20 minutes away you can explore to the heart’s content with Dovedale Stepping Stones, plus within 5 minutes’ drive from the site, there are two pubs including the Black Horse Inn and The Nags Head, as well as Hulland General Store to pick up any essential items.
