Living in the beauty of the breathtaking Shropshire Hills and publishing her first book: Laurelle’s Story

Peace, quiet and tranquillity.

Presthope Grange is perched in the rolling Shropshire Hills where a small welcoming neighbourhood is nestled amongst the beautiful landscape. A private park for the over 45s, residents living here can enjoy luxury living in the heart of stunning countryside, where creativity can be inspired.

Enviable Location

Laurelle has lived at Presthope Grange, Much Wenlock, for the past two and a half years. She describes it “Is like being transported into the middle of a gorgeous landscape painting where watching the seasons change during the year is an absolute joy.”

Escaping the hustle and bustle to a gentler pace of life provides the perfect opportunity to slow down, appreciate the surrounding scenery and the kaleidoscope of colours throughout the seasons, all from the comfort of a luxury park home offering warmth and cosiness amongst the peace and quiet of nature.

For Laurelle, it offered a place to put her many ideas onto paper and write her first published novel in a trilogy, ‘Pearly Eye’ an epic timeslip novel spanning 4000 years. She says “Residential Park Home living is perfect for writers” as it offers a place for inspiration, creativity and imagination to run wild. Close-Knit Community

Laurelle goes onto explain that “It’s not just the view” that she loves at Presthope Grange but “…as the community builds, we are creating different ways of connecting with each other which support everyone’s needs, whether they live on their own or as a couple. There is a book club and a lunch club along with other groups where we can ask for support and tell each other about local events and places to visit.”

With only a small number of homes, Presthope Grange offers a warm, welcoming and vibrant community in a secure and gated park, where residents can meet up and chat, be involved in clubs together and most of all, look out for each other. It offers a real sense of belonging, where friendships are formed, happy memories are made and retirement can be enjoyed to the full.

Pet-Friendly Park

Laurelle explains “Presthope Grange loves its animals too, and many friendships have been made as we walk our dogs, and in my case, my cat too, around the park.”

With Wenlock Edge on the doorstep, Carding Mill Valley and the rolling Shropshire Hills, not only can residents enjoy getting out for some fresh air in the spectacular local area, but their pets can make the most of it too.

Even if you don’t want to wander too far, as Laurelle comments, the park offers the opportunity to stroll within the beautiful park itself and catch up with neighbours to pass the time of day.

To Sum up: "I Love Living Here"

“I love living here, between the glorious, medieval town of Much Wenlock and the breathtaking Shropshire Hills of Church Stretton. It is peaceful and safe and gives a rare sense of freedom that is hard to find elsewhere” says Laurelle.

Overlooking the spectacular views, only minutes’ drive to the charming town of Much Wenlock, you can also enjoy waking up to the birdsong, the peaceful surroundings and living amongst a like-minded community, whilst being able to get the buzz of the local town close by and access all the amenities you could need on your doorstep. All from a brand new, fully furnished home where a new lifestyle awaits…

Laurelle found her place to love, her place to be inspired and her place to write.

Laurelle's Book

Pearly Eye, written by Laurelle, is available in paperback and as an e-book on Amazon. It tells the story of Selena, a strange looking 25-year-old with a pearly eye. After her family is killed in a mysterious car accident, she is offered refuge near to an archaeological dig. When an unearthed ghost shows her where an ancient artefact is buried, the inner sight of her pearly eye starts to open and she begins a desperate battle to bring the 4000 year-old ghost back home.

“From the first page, Pearly Eye drew me into a rich story, expertly weaving past and present lives together. It is full of rich characters that took me on a roller coaster journey from darkness and cruelty to lightness and kindness in a superbly crafted, compelling read. I loved it!” LA, the Cotswolds.
