‘One Big Family’ – Patsy and Colin’s Story on Moving to Marston Edge
Patsy and Colin’s Story
Having previously spent a considerable amount of time in Spain, Patsy and Colin had formed a love for the country and the lifestyle and had made many friends, so they made the big decision to move their life abroad.
Unfortunately, Covid stopped their plans. Patsy also fell quite poorly and realized with being so ill, she just wanted to be at home, near loved ones and with access to the NHS. Thus, once again began the search for a new way of life….
Residential Park Home Living
With this turn of events, Patsy and Colin reverted back to looking at Park Home Living, which they had previously done 10 years before for both themselves and Patsy’s Mum.
They wanted a home that was easy to maintain, offering a relaxed lifestyle where Patsy and Colin had time to enjoy doing what they love most but where they felt safe and could also travel if they wished, having the peace of mind their home was secure.
After looking extensively and visiting over 23 park home sites to find the one that was perfect for their needs, Patsy and Colin came across Marston Edge, nestled just on the edge of the Cotswolds.
Located in the spectacular Warwickshire countryside in the small village of Lower Quinton, offering a gentler pace of life in the heart of nature, Marston Edge certainly did not disappoint.

Marston Edge was the third park they visited and they said ‘nothing else matched up to it’. When they drove in, they got an instant WOW factor from the beautifully maintained grounds, the close-knit community of neighbours, the rural lifestyle it offered, as well as having such great local amenities on the doorstep.
Patsy and Colin said ‘what topped it off was meeting the Owner of the park, making us feel so welcome and speaking to us like he had known us for years’. They soon realized the Owner’s passion for brewing homemade cider from his orchard, which is often shared with the residents – much to the delight of Patsy! Colin and Patsy even get homegrown fruit on-site and fresh eggs from the Owner’s grandson.
They said: ‘We consider the Owner and his family as friends.’

The Local Area and Lifestyle
Patsy and Colin loved the location and lifestyle that Marston Edge offered.
They could easily nip to the post office or local shop, both only a 10 minute walk away. They could use the gym daily as this is just down the road and also enjoy fantastic riverside and countryside walks in the area, pointing out their favourite is ‘Monarch Walk’ ‘which goes on for miles’.
Marston Edge offered them a place where they could socialise with neighbours that quickly become friends, enjoying their time together playing pétanque, chatting in the communal area, appreciating summer evenings with a BBQ, or going together to local favourites, including Lower Clopton Farm Shop, offering ‘by far the best breakfast’ just 5 minutes by car.
They could also take advantage of the great transport links to other towns and cities, such as using the bus to get to Chipping Camden and Broadway, whilst still being able to return home to spend time with their friends or simply enjoy the peace and quiet of the rolling countryside.

Enjoying Life to the Full
Since buying a residential park home at Marston Edge, Patsy and Colin have never looked back.
They love every aspect of their new life and stylish park home. With little upkeep, they enjoy more time to themselves, taking part in community events with their neighbours, whilst also spending quality time with family and having the grandchildren over. It really has transformed their lives.
Patsy and Colin said: ‘We would not have had this life in Spain. Our neighbours have become true friends and we always help each other out. It has completely changed our lives for the better. Best way to live: safe and secure, as one big family.’
